12 - 1/2 cup unsalted butter, cold and diced
# Directions:
01 - Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease a 9-inch square baking dish.
02 - Toss sliced apples with lemon juice in a large bowl.
03 - Combine granulated sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and flour; sprinkle over apples and toss to coat evenly.
04 - Transfer apple mixture to prepared baking dish, spreading evenly.
05 - In a medium bowl, mix flour, oats, brown sugar, cinnamon, and salt. Add cold butter and work into dry ingredients until coarse crumbs form.
06 - Sprinkle crumb mixture evenly over the apples in the baking dish.
07 - Bake 35 to 40 minutes until topping is golden and apples are tender and bubbly.
